DIPOLOG CITY, March 6, 2024 – Each school division office is expected to implement the Quality Management System (QMS) within the Department. Consequently, DepEd Dipolog organized a comprehensive training-workshop on QMS Planning Documents and Operations Manual from March 4 to 5 at Isaias Function Hall 1, Top Plaza Hotel. The event was attended by unit/section heads from various functional divisions.

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 9, issued in 2012 and titled “Institutionalization of Quality Management System (QMS) in the Department of Education through One DepEd, One QMS,” DepEd Dipolog aligns existing guidelines and standards into the internal systems processes and design provided by the updated Procedure and Work Instructions Manual or PAWIM.

This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of personnel and ensure consistency in the delivery of quality services. It also promotes continuous improvement, ultimately leading to enhanced and sustained client satisfaction.

Present in the training was Dr. Ruel Saldua, Chief of DepEd R9 FTAD, who conducted a session on QMS Planning Documents. Dr. Saldua guided participants on how to provide necessary information for documents such as Interested Parties, SWOT Analysis, and Risks and Opportunities Registries.

Dr. Romeo Daligdig, Chief of DepEd R9 Admin Services, also delivered his workshop. He shed light on the QMS Operations Manual, equipping participants with the requisite documents to recraft and enhance current processes, and align with the standards outlined in the PAWIM.

Concluding the event, the top management of DepEd Dipolog expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ruel Saldua and Dr. Romeo Daligdig for their invaluable contributions in enhancing the QMS capabilities of the host division.

Participants are tasked with finalizing and submitting their outputs by March 8 of this year.
