DIPOLOG CITY, March 17, 2024 – Cogon National High School (Cogon NHS) and Sinaman Integrated School (Sinaman IS) received a total of 2.3 million pesos in projects as part of LGU Dipolog’s initiatives under the Trust Fund-LDRRMF 2018-2023 program. These projects aimed to enhance the facilities at the schools, specifically by concreting their covered courts.

On March 12, the turnover ceremonies were attended by Dipolog’s local chief executive, Hon. Darel Dexter T. Uy.

During his address, Uy underscored the significance of educational infrastructure in realizing the MATATAG advocacy, championed by the Department of Education, particularly emphasizing the need to expedite the provision of basic education facilities and services.

PSDS Maria Lisa Valdehueza, who serves as the concurrent School Principal of Cogon NHS, and SP Emil Banua of Sinaman IS, expressed their appreciation for the successful implementation and completion of the projects. They emphasized the importance of community development for the benefit of the learners in their respective institutions.

The concreting of Sinaman IS’ covered court required an appropriation cost of 1,131,334 pesos, while Cogon NHS’ project amounted to 1,168,769 pesos.
