The Division of Dipolog City has successfully conducted its first Interconnecting Operations through Networking Plans (ICON) Program Presentation and Reporting of School Improvement Plans by all school heads both elementary and secondary of Dipolog City Schools Division on April 26, 2019 at Miputak National High School, Miputak, Dipolog City.

Based on Division Memorandum No. 165 s. 2019, the objectives of the said ICON program presentation and reporting are the following: a) appraise SIP & AIP; b) monitor and evaluate schools in the alignment of plans; c) check the appropriateness and eligibility of the activities in the AIP; and d) deliberate the feasibility of plan.

It can be recalled that before the SIP presentation, schools heads have left no stone unturned just to get all the necessary data needed to start the preliminary activities of SIP crafting like School-Community Data, SRC summary of information, Division Education Development Plan and the like. Teachers were also involved in the child-mapping activity as well as in the crafting of the school improvement plan being members of the school planning team and project team together with parents, community leaders and learners themselves among others.

Before the presentation and reporting of school plans, school heads were ask to submit the ff: Minutes of Meeting, SCDT Templates, School Report Card, Gap Analysis Template, Previous SIP, Prioritization Template, Planning Worksheet, Documentation of Listening to the Voice of the Learners, Root Cause Analysis Diagram, Project Workplan and Budget Matrix, Annual Implementation Plan, OPCRF and Project Monitoring Report form. Aside from these, each school head was required to prepare a 5-minute power point presentation which covers the SIP and AIP and will present before the committee. After each presentation, 10 minutes shall be allotted for reactors who shall provide at least three recommendations and suggestions based on the gaps and bottlenecks in the presentation.

Credits were given to the Division Appraisal Team/ Plan Evaluators who were divided into five (5) teams. Team 1 – Team Leader: Mrs. Elma S. Quimpo, Members: Mrs. Jacinta B. Yusoph, Dr. Jovencia M. Bael, Mr. Terence Eyre B. Belangoy and Mr. Luisiano S. Murro, Jr. Team 3 – Team Leader: Mr. Ronillo S. Yarag, Members: Dr. Araceli G. Macasasa, Mrs. Riela Angela C. Josol, Mrs. Arsenia C. Zamoras, Mrs. Rambelle C. Flores and Mrs. Cielidel V. Timosa. Team 4 – Team Leader: Mr. Pergentino S. Yabres, Members: Dr. Monina R. Antiquina, Dr. Bernie P. Laranjo, Mrs. Catalina S. Barinaga, Mr. Crispo V. Gahisan and Mr. Neil Nonato F. Sebastian and Team 5 – Team Leader: Dr. Edgardo S. Cabalida, Members: Mrs. Helen B. Silao, Dr. Lilibeth G. Ratificar, Ms. Joy O. Campiseño, Mr. Petrush G. Macute, Engr. Christopher Ace B. Bael and Mr. Reynald P. Kyamko.

Most importantly, our salute to Dr. Jay S. Montealto, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and the proponent of this program and to Dr. Jeanelyn A. Aleman, our very supportive schools division superintendent. “It was a laudable undertaking that we school heads were able to put our heart and soul in this year’s School Improvement Plan (SIP) crafting” says Dr. Joselito S.
